hCG Diet Rainbow Wrap Salad

So one day, I saw Jamie Oliver cooking something amazing. He says it is his “Rainbow Wrap Salad” and it not only looks absolutely gorgeous but it has amazing flavors as well.

Now, he says that this dish is “magic” because this dish can be done with a variety of vegetables that are in season in your area.

In other words, you can pretty much tweak the ingredients list in order to match what is in great stock in your area as we speak.

So today, I am going to share with you his recipe for the Rainbow Wrap Salad but I am going to tweak it a little bit so that it can cater people who are on the hCG diet.

This recipe is safe to consume even on phase 2 of the hCG diet. So, without further ado, here are the ingredients that you will need in order to cook the hCG Diet Rainbow Wrap Salad:

  • 2 Small Raw Beetroots (150 grams)
  • 2 Carrots
  • 150 grams White Cabbage
  • 1 Pear
  • 1/2 Bunch of Fresh Mint
  • 1/2 Bunch of Fresh Flat-leaf Parsley
  • 6 small Wholemeal Tortilla Wraps
  • 50 grams of Feta Cheese

For the Dressing:

  • 5 Tbsps of Natural Yogurt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon English Mustard
  • 3 Tsps Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 Tbsps Extra Virgin Olive Oil

  1. Wash the beetroots and carrots thoroughly under cold running water. To make sure that you remove all of the dirt, use a soft scrubber.
  2. Discard the ends of the beetroots.
  3. Next, grate the carrots but don’t make them too fine; coarsely grate them if you will
  4. Slice the cabbage finely and then put it in a bowl.
  5. Next, remove the stalk from the pear and grate it as well. Put in the bowl with the cabbage afterward.
  6. Lastly, grate the beetroot by holding on to the root end of it. Since beetroots can give a slight discoloration to your skin, you may want to use gloves for this.
  7. Get the Parsley and mint leaves and finely chop them and add it to the bowl.
  8. Next, get a good jam jar and add all of the dressing ingredients inside.
  9. Put on the lid and shake the jar until the dressing is well mixed.
  10. After shaking, have a taste and tweak the dressing. The dressing has to be a bit on the acidic side in order to balance the fruits and vegetables.
  11. Next, pour the dressing over the salad gradually. Do not drop all of them at once. If you see that the salad has been drenched, stop pouring it and start mixing the salad.
  12. Next, put some of the salad in a tortilla wrap and put some feta cheese over it.
  13. Roll them up nicely. Serve and Enjoy!

The hCG Diet Rainbow Wrap Salad contains only 170-200 calories depending on which fruits or vegetables you’re going to use. Treat this recipe as a “base” recipe in that you can tweak the fruits and vegetables used in this dish to whatever is in abundant supply in your area.

This dish not only looks good but it tastes great as well. This dish is a perfect one if you’re on the hCG diet.

Oppo R7

  • Phones

Oppo used to be a mobile phone giant in its mainland China, but since it gained massive success and popularity in the country, it gained the attention of the worldwide mobile phone market.

The company was originally known to create MP3 and DVD players and since their venture to the mobile phone industry, they’ve been revered as one of the best in the business and they’re slowly gaining popularity in the west.

Today, we are going to talk about the Oppo R7. The Oppo R7 bridges the gap between midrange and high-end phones and I have to say that this phone is situated in between. The phone has some impressive specs, albeit, with minor quirks. We will talk all about the Oppo R7 in this article.

When I search for a mobile phone, the first thing I am going to look at is the build quality. Does it have what it takes to wow consumers? Does it have the specs to back up the status? These questions often linger my mind when I am searching for a mobile phone in the market, and I am pretty sure that most, if not all, people think of these questions as well.

The Oppo R7 has an amazing premium build quality It sports an all-metallic chassis and if you’re looking to buy the white model, you will be greeted with a nice silver back cover. It has a slight curvature that allows you to grip this phone with one hand without problems of slipping.

This mobile phone comes with a 5-inch AMOLED display with a pixel density of 445ppi and a maximum resolution of Full HD (1080P). I think there really isn’t something new to this trend as most midrange phone comes with, at least, a full HD resolution screen. Coupled with AMOLED technology, the colors should pop out making the display much more vibrant.

Under the hood, you can expect to have some pretty amazing specs. The Oppo R7 is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor with 4 cores clocked at 1.5GHz and another 4 cores clocked at 1GHz. Furthermore, it also comes with the Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB of RAM.

With an octa-core processor and 3GB of RAM, expect applications to fly when using this phone. Benchmark scores are phenomenal and I have to say that even when I run multiple applications at a time, there is no noticeable lag at all.

Although the phone only comes with a 2320 MaH, non-removable battery, it does have the VOOC fast charging capability. In short, you can charge this phone for 10 minutes (from 0% battery power) and it will run for 30 minutes. This is especially useful for people who are always on the go without any power banks in hand.

The Oppo R7’s camera, at least when compared to other midrange phones, is a bit disappointing. Even though it comes with a 13-megapixel rear snapper, some images were a little bit grainy and lacking color reproduction.

Although the camera is a little bit disappointing, I am happy to say that the Oppo R7 comes with 4G LTE support. Do not forget to get the help of mobile phone signal boosters to ensure optimal signal performance at all times.

The Oppo R7 is a promising phone and I think that this midrange offering from the Chinese company will help propel it to stardom when it reaches the West.

Ketosis and hCG Diet: Facts that you need to Know

Many forms of diet have their own perks, but they all have one common goal: for you to lose weight. hCG dieting is quite popular nowadays and people can attest to its effectiveness.

But, there’s a certain term that’s been tied to the hCG diet, and that is Ketosis. What is Ketosis? Ketosis is the process of burning stored fat to be used as energy by the body.

How do you activate Ketosis? Well, for Ketosis to start, you need to be depriving yourself of carbohydrates in a given time frame. Usually, it takes 48 hours for the body to turn Ketosis on. This is because, when you are taking a low-carbohydrate diet, you will be having low glycogen stores. This will then start the process of Ketosis.

Now, why is Ketosis tied to the hCG diet? The principle of the hCG diet is for people to eat only a maximum of 500 calories a day for 6 weeks. Carbohydrates are severely lessened, and lean protein, vegetables and fruits are preferred.

But, some hCG diet critics not only criticized this form of calorie restriction, but it can have very harmful effects on the body because you’re not supplying your body with enough carbohydrates.

Here’s what hCG diet advocates have to say. The common fear of people is that if a person has low glycogen stores, it can actually have a detrimental effect on the body. But, research proves otherwise. You see, if a person lacks glycogen due to low-carbohydrate diets, the body gets its glycogen from proteins. And since the hCG diet encourages the consumption of lean protein, there will be no problem in that regard.

Due to that fact, the hCG diet is also dubbed as a Ketogenic diet due to the severe caloric and carbohydrate restrictions.

If you do undergo hCG diet, you may experience some symptoms that are associated with Ketosis:

  • Tiredness or fatigue
  • Leg Cramps
  • Headache
  • Feeling thirsty all the time
  • Bad breath
  • Metallic taste in the mouth
  • Weakness
  • Dizziness
  • Nausea or stomachache
  • Sleep problems

Now, how do you actually combat or at least lessen these symptoms? Here are the steps you can take:

  1. Drink Lots of Water- Ever heard of the saying, “drink at least 8 glasses of water per day?” This advice is especially helpful for people who are on hCG diets. Water has no calories at all and you can drink copious amounts of it without any major problems. The principle behind this advice is that when you pee a lot, you will release useless ketones from your body. Thus, there will be no ketone-buildup.
  2. Eat when you’re Hungry- This might be common knowledge, but when you are hungry, you have to eat something. Just take note of the daily 500-calorie count.
  3. Supplement when it is needed- It is not recommended to be taking supplements while you’re still on the hCG diet. However, if you severely lack nutrition, taking supplements is okay.

That should clear up the confusion and misinformation about Ketosis and the hCG diet.
