BLACKPINK’s official comeback is right around the corner, and to kick it off, the K-pop girl group finally released the music video for their new track, “Ready for Love,” on Friday, July 29.
The pop stars first unveiled the song during their recent in-game concert for PUGB Mobile, titled “THE VIRTUAL,” which featured the four band members – Lisa, Jisoo, Jennie, and Rosé – performing a mixing their hits through virtual versions of their human forms. Fans first got a taste of 2020’s “Ready to Love” during BLACKPINK’s Light up the sky film, as the quartet recorded the track during a studio session.
“I’m ready for love/ Tell me when you’re ready, ’cause I’m already ready (Ready, ready)/ Tell me when you’re ready, ’cause/ I’m ready for love”, sing Jennie and Rosé the sparkling and effervescent pop track.
For Blinks who missed the concert, fear not – the event will take place July 29-30 in North and South America, and July 30-31 in the rest of the world. Players also have the chance to get the outfits that BLACKPINK wore during the concert until August 31.
“Ready For Love” comes on the heels of BLACKPINK’s August comeback. YG Entertainment previously released a statement on July 5 explaining that the girl group is in the “final stages of recording a new album.” According to the statement, the K-pop stars’ new music will arrive in August with “a large-scale ongoing project that will continue throughout the second half.”
