Britney claimed she received ‘no response’ from her mother after expressing concern that her doctor was ‘trying to kill her’ while she was being held in a mental health facility.
Britney was placed under the legal regime – which saw her life and finances tightly controlled by her father, Jamie Spears, and a group of lawyers – from 2008 until November 2021.
The momentous termination came months after Britney strongly denounced her Tories in court, saying in emotional testimony that she found the housing conditions “abusive”.
She also publicly condemned her mother, father, sister Jamie Lynn and brother Bryan for not supporting her over the years, even telling the judge she felt they “should be in jail.”
And since the end of the conservatorship, Britney has continued to speak out against her family members, often dragging her mother and sister into a series of cutting Instagram posts.
Now the pop star has doubled down on her claims by releasing several screenshots of what she says were text exchanges between her and her mother, an old friend and her former public defender.
“It’s a little different with the evidence,” Britney wrote in the now-deleted post. “Here’s my text to my mum at this location 3 years ago…I’m showing it because there was no response.”
“When I came out, her words were, ‘You should have let me visit you and give you a hug,'” Britney said.
The first screenshot appears to show Britney texting her mother, recorded as “Me Maw”, saying, “He was saying he wanted to UP the seraquil and I’m like whoaaaaaaa horsey fuck you.” She apparently refers to Seroquel – the brand name for quetiapine, an atypical antipsychotic drug used for the treatment of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and major depressive disorder.
“I thought Seraquil was a sleep aid, but it’s for bipolars and it’s WAAAAAY stronger than lithium,” Britney says, referring to another drug often used to treat bipolar disorder. Later, she texts, “I literally feel all the sick medicine in my stomach.”
“I feel like he’s trying to kill me,” she seems to tell her mother about her doctor. “I swear to God I do.”
The second screenshot appears to show Britney’s texts to a contact registered as Jansen, who she noted was a “friend of the house.” “She was supposed to help me find a new lawyer…I’ve never heard of her,” the singer wrote in the caption.
The messages to Jansen begin: “I need John’s bell number please when you can.” Then she asks: “And what about lithium in your opinion and that it has been watched for so long … of course they can invent any excuse to keep doing it, but is it really healthy and okay to donate blood for SO LONG.”
“I feel like you’re going to say it’ll be fine but it still doesn’t make sense,” Britney adds.
And in the third and final screenshot, Britney leaked the texts she said she sent to her court-appointed attorney, Sam Ingham, who she described as “the attorney I didn’t could choose”.
“I want to talk about going to court when it’s done and getting my medical rights,” Britney wrote. “My boyfriend [now-husband, Sam Asghari] the right to spend the night with me,,,, how can I leave early,,,, the plan that I [gave] u for the last month of what these fucking people want from me.
“In court, my boyfriend must be able to see my children,” she continues. “I have been in [the conservatorship] for 12 years I want more,,,, I would like to replace it. Two security guards with new ones…wish I had a day to find out who is coming to my house for security.
Britney goes on to express her wishes for the future, noting that she hopes to have “an adventurous life” without working.
“When this program is over, I don’t want to work at all,” she wrote. “I want to live for myself and have an adventurous life…I want that asshole Benson to let me drive again…I want to go on vacation three times this year…. Miami, New York. And [Kauai].”
Elsewhere in her caption, Britney – who noted she “didn’t have anyone” to back her up – dragged her sister Jamie Lynn for allegedly shutting her down when she asked for help.
“PS My sister’s text after not texting for 3 days was, ‘They won’t let you go so why are you fighting it,'” she claimed. Jamie Lynn, along with the rest of Britney’s family, have long said they’ve done their best to support the pop star over the years.
So far, Jamie Lynn – who is used to responding to Britney’s messages about her – has yet to make any reference to the singer’s latest revelation. However, we’ll be sure to update you if she does.
