Today (Saturday): With heavy dew points in the mid-70s, heat index values in the mid-90s are likely in the hottest and most humid locations. The thermometer can peak between the upper 80s and lower 90s. The sky is partly to mostly cloudy, but we may end up seeing a little more sun than Friday.
A few drops of rain are possible at any time of the day, but the main (and moderate) chance of showers and thunderstorms begins around mid-afternoon. Less thunderstorms are expected than Friday, but a thunderstorm or two could still be strong to severe. We have a slight 5-10% chance of a shower or two. Moderate afternoon southerly breezes around 10-15 mph are possible. Confidence: medium-high
This evening: An evening chance of showers and thunderstorms may extend closer to midnight, but any rain activity should decrease in intensity and coverage before then. The sky is likely to remain cloudy even after the rain stops. Mid to upper 70s are the best we can do for low temperatures. Phew. Thank the dew points in the mid-70s that keep the atmosphere from cooling much below that level. Confidence: medium-high

Tomorrow Sunday): The sky can offer a hair more sunshine than Saturday, and a corresponding chance of showers and storms (lower hair). With more sunshine, the high temperatures rise a little higher to near 90s until the mid-90s. As the afternoon progresses, remember to head inside if thunder rolls. A few thunderstorms can break out throughout the region, especially from mid-afternoon.
Moderate south-southwesterly breezes can be noticeable during the afternoon hours. Do I even need to mention how wet it will be? Well, heat index values of around 100 degrees are possible – this is the combination of humidity and air temperature. Confidence: medium-high
Tomorrow evening: After sunset, the chance of rain decreases, but it is not completely eliminated. A slight chance of showers or thunderstorms exists until the wee hours of the morning. The sky is slowly clearing and all the breezes are calming as dawn approaches. Sensual low temperatures hover in the mid to upper 70s. Confidence: Medium
The fog can continue Monday and Tuesday, with high temperatures in the low to mid-90s. Dewpoints may not slip much, if at all, as once thought. This means that heat index values in the low 100s are possible. Chances of rain remain lowest on Monday compared to Tuesday. However, a risk of showers and storms cannot be ruled out on both days, especially in the afternoon and evening. Low temperatures are only dropping into the usual range lately, mid to upper 70s. Confidence: medium
