The driver continued on the 405 southbound and just before 7 p.m. the driver drove through Orange County.

The driver headed towards the Westminster area on the 405 South Freeway. The driver exited the freeway and was driving on surface streets in the Costa Mesa area.

At one point, the driver got out of the sedan and was on foot and running down a ravine, but got back into the car in the Irvine area.

The driver continued through the Laguna Hills area, heading north on Highway 5.

Eventually, authorities performed a PIT maneuver as the driver headed toward the Crown Valley Parkway and Cabot Road area in Mission Viejo. He surrendered and was taken into custody,
