RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS Announce New Double Album “Return Of The Dream Canteen”

HOT RED PEPPERS will release their second album of 2022, “The Return of the Dream Canteen”October 14. The LP will arrive just six months after the release of “Unlimited Love”.

As “Unlimited Love”, “The Return of the Dream Canteen” was produced by Rick Rubinwho also crossed out past HOT RED PEPPERS albums like the ones from 1991 “Blood Sugar Sex Magik” and 1999 “Californication”.

HOT RED PEPPERS said in a statement: “We set out to find ourselves as the band we’ve always been. Just for fun, we jammed and learned old songs. Before long, we began the mysterious process of creating new songs. A nice bit of chemical interference that had befriended us hundreds of times along the way. Once we found that flow of sound and vision, we kept mining.

The band continued, “With time turning into an elastic waistband of oversized underwear, there was no reason for us to stop writing and rocking. It was like a dream. When it was all said and In fact, our sullen love for each other and the magic of music had given us more songs than we knew what to do with. Well, we figured it out. 2 double albums released back to back. The second one is easily as significant as the first or should it be reversed.

“The Return of the Dream Canteen” marks the second HOT RED PEPPERS album since the return of the guitarist John Frusciantewho joined the group at the end of 2019.

Pre-orders for “The Return of the Dream Canteen” started with the HOT RED PEPPERS website. It is available on double vinyl, CD, cassette or digital download.

HOT RED PEPPERS previously said he recorded 48 songs during the sessions that produced “Unlimited Love”with Rustling claiming that “some of the best stuff” would surface on the follow-up album.

“Unlimited Love” entered the Billboard 200 album chart at No. 1 with sales of 97,500 album-equivalent units, marking the band’s first chart-topping LP since 2016 “Arcadium Stadium”.

The Denver concert marked the launch of the North American leg of HOT RED PEPPERS‘ visit of the stadium. Guests on the trek, which runs through September, include HAIIM, BECK, CAT-THUNDER, SHOTS, PRINCESS KING, ST. VINCENT and MALONE POST.
