Here is the statement from the family:

“Dear family, friends, fellow musicians and fans, this is the hardest message any family can send. It is with deep sadness that we inform you that our son and eldest brother, Kaleb Luebchow, passed away on Wednesday, July 27 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville We miss him so much.

“Kaleb was living his lifelong passion of playing drums and making music with his friends. Kaleb had recently returned from a tour of France with the Admiral Phunk Brass Band where he had an amazing time and was looking forward to soon to be back on the road with his good friends and bandmates in War Of Ages.In addition to playing with these two bands, he has played regularly with many other musicians in and around Nashville, as well as in Illinois.

“The number of fellow musicians, friends and fans who have come to Vanderbilt Medical Center to love and support Kaleb over the past few days has given us great comfort. We are forever grateful for their friendship with Kaleb and the stories they shared with us. Our once shy and introverted young boy grew into a man with a beautiful, magnetic spirit who lived his life to the fullest and knew no strangers. Those who knew him well shared that Kaleb was a friend to everyone he met and easy to love. He was an incredibly talented musician, extremely humble and encouraging towards others.

“We have been forever changed by Kaleb’s life and his death. We deeply mourn our loss and know that you will too. Kaleb believed in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and we take comfort in knowing that he began his greatest adventure in a place where there is no death, only life and love.

“With all our love,
Kevin Luebhow, Austin Luebhow and Paige McQuigg”

Metalsucks sends condolences to Luebchow’s family, friends and fans.
